Harry is studying Agriculture at Harper Adams University. During his placement year and as part of the Progressive Young Farmer program he has joined The Lakes Free Range Egg Co Ltd, based in Penrith, Cumbria.

From a non-farming family in Lincolnshire, at a young age Harry grew a passion for agriculture whilst listening to the stories told to him by his grandfather of when he used to work on a farm. Harry is particularly interested in the sustainable production of food and its traceability from farm to consumer. During the year he is developing his knowledge of the egg sector as well as learning more about the supply chain and sustainable farming practices used by both The Lakes and McDonald’s.
