Lord Cameron is a former President of the CLA, Chairman of the Countryside Agency and the Prime Minister’s Rural Advocate. He has lobbied on behalf of the countryside for many years. He was knighted for services to the countryside in 2003.  Since 2004 he has been an independent crossbench Peer in the House of Lords representing rural interests – including agriculture, housing, and the environment.
