Duncan is an experienced chartered surveyor, land manager and rural business leader. He joined Raby Estates as CEO in 2017 after a successful track record managing and developing some of the UK’s foremost landed estate businesses. He is responsible for all business operations across Raby’s landholdings located in some of the most highly designated landscape character areas in Co Durham and Shropshire.

Duncan is also Chair of Visit Co Durham and sits on the Co Durham Economic Partnership. He is also a member of the Natural England Landscape Advisory Panel and a Trustee of Fields in Trust (formerly National Playing Fields Association).  Duncan was born and raised in Lancashire and is a passionate advocate for the north of England’s historic and natural environment.
